The Sonoma Stompers have set the schedule for Jose Canseco Weekend during their upcoming series with the defending Pacific Association champion San Rafael Pacifics.

For the series opener on Friday, the first pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. Former Major League MVP Jose Canseco will suit up for the first of two games with the team. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and Stompers Hour will last from when the gates open until 15 minutes before first pitch.

On Saturday, the Stompers and Pacifics will have the first pitch moved back an hour to 6:05 p.m. This is to accommodate a Sonoma Valley Babe Ruth game and the pre-game home run derby where players and fans alike will be able to try and match powers with Canseco.

The gates will open at 4:30 to allow fans to watch the participants try and knock balls out of Arnold Field during the derby, which is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. The normal Stompers Hour will begin once the gates open and will last up until 15 minutes before first pitch.
