The dates for the Camp to Remember for softball players have been changed to July 21, 22, 23.

Former Petaluma High School and University of Arizona star Sam Garrett (Banister) will be among the many top softball coaches conducting the camp sponsored by TDS Sports at Wiseman Park.

The camp will feature instruction by current and recent college and professional players in all aspects of softball - strength and conditioning, hitting, pitching, catching, throwing, fielding, base running, sliding and bunting.

The camp is for all girls 8-and-under through 16-and under.

Girls 8 through 12 will participate from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 14 through 18 will receive instruction from 2 to 5 p.m.

Garrett will work with former professional baseball player Tommy Collaro to coach hitters.

“The girls are going to get a lot of attention from coaches who have played the game and are still able to show them, as well as tell them,” Garrett said.

“There will be a lot of hands-on instruction,” he said.
