Quick end to Petaluma Senior League seasons

The tournament season was quickly over for Petaluma’s two Senior Little League All-Star teams for 15-16-year-olds.

Playing in the District 35 Tournament hosted by Rincon Valley Little League at Maria Carrillo High School, a combined Petaluma National/Petaluma Valley team lost its opening game to Rancho Cotati, 15-7. Playing the next day, the Petaluma American League was beaten by Mark West, 14-2.

The results paired the Petaluma teams against one another in a battle for survival won by the National/Valley, 11-7.

The National/Valley was then eliminated by Rancho Cotati, 22-16.

Members of the National/Valley team were Nick Matteri, Jessie Brouillette, Max Belove, Brian Lightell, Sam Renstrom, Devon Hong, Jesse Robinson, Eric Reed, Cody Gerhardt and Tommy Cracraft. The team was managed by Troy Matteri.

Members of the American Senior League all-stars were Austin Mattos, Anthony Ditizio, Justin Burt, Trevor Haubenstricer, Brandon Cota, Chance Torri, Ian Mifsud, Cayden Fleming, Mike Inglin, Ylers Olliver, DJ Bricknell and Ben Johnson. The team was managed by Bill Pierson.
