Jr. racquetball players discover gold in Nationals

PVAC earns 6 gold medals during event in Stockton|

The junior racquetball players from the Petaluma Valley Athletic Club turned their trip to the National Championships in Stockton into gold. PVAC earned six gold medals during the competition.

Ana Naworski won gold in the 8-and-under multi-bounce and the 8-and-under single-bounce divisions. She also reached the quarterfinals in the 10-and-under two-bounce class.

Jessica Naworski was fourth in the 10-and-under two-bounce divison.

Heather Mahoney earned gold in the 10-and-under and 12-and-under singles and in the 12-and-under doubles.

James D’Ambrogia took gold in the 12-and-under doubles and also reached the quarterfinals in the 14-and-under blue and 12-and-under competition.

Ben Jenkel earned gold in the 16-and-under mixed doubles consolation bracket and finished in the quarterfinals of the 14-and-under red and 16-and-under doubles.

Dima Wert reached the semifinals in the 18-and-under blue competition.

Mahoney and D’Ambrogia will compete for Team USA in the Junior World competition in November in the Dominican Republic.
