For the National 10-11s, the Northern California tournament is as high as they can climb. They begin the tournament, which is being hosted by the Petaluma American Little League at Lucchesi Park, Saturday at 2 p.m. against Aptos, the section 5 champion. A win and the Nationals play Sunday at 11 p.m., a loss and they play Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Valley Major Leaguers will be playing for the right to advance to the Western Regional Tournament in San Bernardino when they open Division play Saturday at 10 a.m. at Madison Park in Stockton.

A victory and the Valley plays again at 10 a.m. Sunday. A loss puts the Valley into a game for survival Monday at 5:30 p.m.
