Grace Hosbein hit on three goals to lead the St. Vincent girls soccer team to its third straight North Central League II victory without a loss, a 5-1 triumph over Roseland University Prep.

Athena Edwards and Patty Chelini also connected for St. Vincent goals. Edwards had an excellent game, adding two assists to her goal. Neila Gross set up a goal with an assist,

The Mustangs received excellent midfield play from Alexa Evans, McKenna Wilson Kay and Lauren Vollert as they improved to 4-1 overall.

That win followed a 6-0 shutout of Upper Lake.

Edwards and Gross were the goal leaders with two apiece for St. Vincent. Emma Riley and Monica Lopez ripped in one apiece. Nella Gross assisted on two goals and Hosbein helped on one.

Olivia Badaglia was big in goal, recording the shutout.

Girls golf

Casa Grande’s girls golf team continued to learn as it plays its way through the North Bay League, losing on its home course at Adobe Creek to Cardinal Newman, 300-325.

Rose Dagnino led the Gauchos with a 61, with Natalie Masterson shooting a 62, Mia Cain a 63, Amanda Porteous a 68 and Delia Reif a 71.

Natalie Justice took medalist honors for Cardinal Newman with a 49.

Casa was improved in its match against Maria Carrillo, but still lost at Oakmont East, 234-309,

Masterson and Cain led the Gauchos with 58s. Porteus shot a 62, Kaelee Downing a 64 and Reif a 67,

Maria Carrillo’s Nicole Kearns was just four over par with a 38.

Volleyball

Juliana Bertolucci recorded 24 assists to lead Petaluma to a 3-0 Sonoma County League win over Elsie Allen in a match played at Petaluma.

The Trojans had little trouble with the Lobos, winning 25-18, 25-10, 25-18.

Girls tennis

Petaluma recorded its first Sonoma County League tennis triumph of the season, blanking El Molino, 7-0, in a match played on the Petaluma courts.

Grace David, Erica Gilmore, Alissa Barone and Christina Lang swept singles play without losing a set.

Mary Manzano teamed with Diana Trueblood, Brooke Symons joined Vivian Allen and Annie O’Neill joined Jordan Zaonc for doubles wins.

Things were tougher for Casa Grande in its North Bay League match at Montgomery, where the Gauchos dropped a 4-3 decision to the Vikings.

Casa Grande split singles matches, with No. 3 Sandy Yang and No. 4 Skyler Cenelly winning. The Gauchos also took the No. 1 doubles match with Danielle Rebullida and Jenny Evans defeating Montgomery’s Elexa Yee and Jacke Lopez in three sets. However, Montgomery won the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles competition to take the team match.
