Blake Buhrer pitched a three-hitter Tuesday night, hurling Petaluma’s Trojans to a 7-1 win over Concord in a game played in the East Bay.

The win evened Petaluma’s record at 2-2-1 going into a game at Maria Carrillo on Thursday afternoon.

Buhrer walked one and struck out three in fashioning his pitching gem.

Petaluma scored enough runs for the junior to win with a two-run first-inning rally, but the Trojans kept scoring, adding two in the third, two in the fifth and one more for good measure in the seventh.

The Trojans had 11 hits in the game, led by Bradley Smith, who singled, doubled and tripled, scoring twice and knocking in three runs.

Kempton Brandis and Logan Douglas each had two hits and freshman Sam Brown belted a triple.
