Petaluma’s DeCarli, 2 Mustangs All-Empire volleyball

Petaluma High School’s Sianna DeCarli and two St. Vincent players are named to the Press Democrat’s All-Empire first-team volleyball squads.|

Petaluma High School’s Sianna DeCarli has been named to The Press Democrat’s All-Empire Large School volleyball team.

The senior was chosen to the prestigious first team after leading the Lady Trojans to a 15-9 record, a 9-3 Sonoma County League second-place finish and into the North Coast Section playoffs.

A powerful outside hitter, she has committed to play at Western Oregon University next season.

DeCarli’s Petaluma teammate, Juliana Bertolucci, a senior setter, was placed on the second team.

Jenna Mak, a senior outside hitter from Sonoma County League champion Sonoma Valley, was named Player of the Year. Becky Sani of El Molino was selected coach of the year. St. Vincent’s senior leaders, Sarah Calabrese and Ali Fetter, were named to the All-Empire Small School first team.

Hitter Calabrese and setter Fetter led the Lady Mustangs to an outstanding 19-1 season, to the North Central League II championship and into the second round of the North Coast Section playoffs.

Their junior teammate, Bella Souza, was selected to the second team.

Kelseyville’s Riley Goff was the Player of the Year and Donelle McAllister of Kelseyville was Coach of the Year.
