Three Trojans make All-SCL tennis team

Petaluma High’s No. 1 tennis player, Nathan Wong, and league champion doubles team of Alex Dodd and Hayden Dennis have been named to the All-Sonoma County League team.

Wong played No. 1 all season for the Trojans, leading them to the Sonoma County League championship before reaching the semifinals in the league tournament.

Petaluma coach Chris Horne called the Petaluma leader “an extremely strong player. He comes from a family of tennis players and knows the game. There is not much I need to do for him other than keep him mentally in a match.”

Wong was mentally and physically in every match he played this season.

Dodd and Dennis used their speed and compatibility to win the league doubles title after helping Petaluma take the league championship.

“They are rabbits,” the coach said. “There is no one faster on our team. They run everything down.”
