Protesters stood outside Petaluma City Hall Monday evening holding signs opposing police violence and a city council's suggestion to form an ad hoc subcommittee to review police use of force not including people of color. In response to pushback, discussion was postponed to a later meeting. Protesters also converged on City Hall property Tuesday evening before a virtual town hall held by Mayor Teresa Barrett, Police Chief Ken Savano, and City Manager Peggy Flynn to discuss and answer questions about Petaluma’s police.
