Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published. Petaluma Police reported the following incidents.

Wednesday, May 11

9:54 p.m. - Police responded to a report of a drunk driver near the intersection of Ellis Street and Madison Street, but the car was gone when they arrived.

Thursday, May 12

9:59 a.m. - An attempted burglary was reported at a home located at 726 H St.

8:54 p.m. - Petaluma’s Kevin Olaeta, 28, was arrested near a Wendy’s restaurant at 500 E. Washington St. for driving under the influence of alcohol.

10:44 p.m. - Travis Miller, 36, of Petaluma, was arrested at a residence on 1500 Weaverly Drive for a felony outside warrant, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia and for use or being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Saturday, May 14

11:14 p.m. - Baltazar Vasquez-Cruz, 30, of Petaluma, was arrested at a location along F Street for child endangerment and domestic violence assault with injury.

Sunday, May 15

1:25 p.m. - Petaluma’s David Martin, 20, was arrested near the intersection of Payran Street and East Washington Street for driving under the influence of alcohol.

2:08 - A vehicle was reported stolen at 800 Petaluma Blvd. N.

2:31 p.m. - An auto burglary was reported at 1567 Bungalow Lane.

8:52 p.m. - David King, 31, of Penngrove, was arrested near the intersection of Downing Street and Rainier Circle for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Monday, May 16

9:46 a.m. - A 48-year-old Vacaville resident working at a business located at 1035 N. McDowell Blvd. was arrested for felony embezzlement of more than $400 and grand theft.

9:13 p.m. - Petaluma’s Gustavo Vega, 27, was arrested near the intersection of Lakeville Highway and Marina Avenue for false imprisonment and domestic violence assault causing injury.
