Current Casa Grande High School principal Linda Scheele has been named director of human resources for the Petaluma City Schools District. Scheele replaces Ron Everett, another former Casa Grande principle who is leaving the district in June.

Scheele has been principal of Casa Grande since 2008 where she honed the vision of the school and worked collaboratively with a diverse group of people to facilitate change and work to improve learning for all students. While leading Casa Grande, Scheele has also been engaged in a variety of initiatives and activities for Petaluma City Schools. She has been integral to the development of the teacher evaluation system; she has served on the negotiation team and is a member of the Trust Committee. Prior to her tenure at Casa Grande, she was an assistant principal at Petaluma High School.

Scheele came to Petaluma with 13 years of secondary classroom teaching experience in English, journalism and yearbook. She taught middle school while living in Kansas and spent six years teaching at Windsor High School.

“I love learning and possess an infectious enthusiasm for education. I believe in success for all children and I am tenacious in my efforts to achieve it,” she said.

Scheele earned her BA in English at Indiana University, her MA in curriculum and instruction at University of Kansas and her administrative services credential at Sonoma State University. Scheele and her husband Tim have resided in Petaluma for more than 16 years.

She will begin her new position on July 1.
