Petaluma, CA, USA, Monday, September 07, 2020._Making a stop at BrewsterÕs in Petaluma on his west coast journey, Doug Petersen, 60, of Newborn, OR is riding his bike from Oregon to San Diego to bring awareness to suicide prevention. Doug lost his 17-year-old son, Page, five years ago to suicide. He took up biking as therapy and to keep himself busy. With support from the organizations, Never Alone and Pair of Thieves, he hopes to finish 1,000 miles. Along the way, cyclists join him on parts of his ride. (CRISSY PASCUAL/ARGUS-COURIER STAFF)
