Shiver me timbers! Dillon Beach pirate gets a fashion makeover

The sword-wielding pirate statue at Dillon Beach was spotted wearing a very patriotic outfit on July 4.

The bikini-clad buccaneer was “helped” into the outfit by some pranksters - and this wasn’t the first time.

“Someone usually decorates it every year, sometimes on Labor Day and sometimes on the Fourth,” said Lynn Schnitzer who photographed the raider in his revealing swimwear. “I thought that was the best dressed pirate I’ve seen so far.”

The pirates’ display was short-lived - his swim attire was gone by the next day.
