Fire Calls

Sunday, April 27

11:02 a.m. — Firefighters rushed to the intersection of Chileno Valley Road and Wetmore Lane after a bicycle accident occurred involving a 77-year-old woman from Petaluma. When responders arrived, a Marin County fire engine was already at the scene providing patient care. Firefighters assessed, treated and transported the woman.

Friday, April 25

3:37 a.m. — Firefighters headed to the back of the Keller Street parking lot on Liberty Street after nearby vegetation and a tree caught on fire. About 20 feet of a chain link fence was entwined with the burning vegetation at the back of the parking lot. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and found a power line down on Liberty Street that had burned through above the fence. The area was coned off and PG&E was requested.

Thursday, April 24

1:58 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident on Southpoint Boulevard. Firefighters found two vehicles involved with the Petaluma police at the scene. After checking for injuries and vehicle hazards, responders transported two patients, a 41-year-old woman from Petaluma and a 44-year-old woman from Vallejo, to Kaiser Terra Linda.

2:31 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a two-vehicle accident on South McDowell Boulevard. When they arrived, firefighters and medics found two vehicles pulled over to the side of the road with the occupants standing on the sidewalk. The airbag of a 94-year-old man from Petaluma had deployed, and he had a small laceration on the top of his head. The man was treated and transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital.

Tuesday, April 22

9:25 p.m. — Firefighters rushed to Petaluma Boulevard North after a 40-year-old man from Petaluma crashed his bicycle. Responders arrived at the scene to find the man sitting on the side of the road with abrasions. The man was assessed, treated and transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital.
