The Petaluma Fire Department received a total of 91 calls between July 7 and July 13. Here are some of the calls.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 9
3:25 a.m. — Firefighters responded to reports of a grass fire at Sunnyslope Court, but the call was revised to the 1300 block of Mountain View Avenue. They arrived to find a half-acre grass fire burning within the San Antonio Fire District boundary. Firefighters from that district were called and both departments extinguished the blaze.
8:18 p.m. — Emergency personnel responded to reports of a crash on Highway 101 in Petaluma. They arrived to find a single-car accident with the vehicle on its roof and the solo driver, a 51-year-old man from Cotati, sitting nearby. He was treated and taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
TUESDAY, JULY 8
10:20 p.m. — Firefighters were called to help extinguish a structure fire in the 8000 block of Windmill Farms Road.
MONDAY, JULY 7
8:40 p.m. — Emergency personnel responded to a “reported vehicle extrication” on Highway 101 in Petaluma. Upon arrival they assisted an 80-year-old woman from Novato to be transported by ambulance to Petaluma Valley Hospital.
