The damage was estimated at $4,000|

It took some creative detective work to track down one of the two juveniles who stole a golf cart at Petaluma High School and crashed it into a classroom, causing $4,000 in damage.

The incident took place on July 13, when the teens were captured on the school’s surveillance camera but could not easily be identified. Cut forward to Sept. 13, when a newly returned school resource officer investigating a different incident pieced together information that led him to one of the student suspects involved in the great golf cart heist. The teen, a 15-year-old male, was questioned and admitted to taking and crashing the cart.

He was arrested on charges of felony vandalism. His cohort has yet to be identified.
