A parcel tax to support the Rancho Adobe Fire Protection District was narrowly passing in unofficial results Wednesday.

Measure W, which would increase the parcel tax in the district that includes Penngrove to $300 per year, had 68.6 percent of the vote. It needs 66.7 percent to pass.

Rancho Adobe voters rejected a parcel tax increase in 2012, which forced fire stations to close.
