Bender doing well in Class A

Former Casa Grande High School star Anthony Bender is gaining notice in professional baseball.

Bender is currently pitching for the Wilmington Blue Rocks in the Carolina League, a Class A Advance League. The Blue Rocks are in the Kansas City Royals organization and based in Wilmington, Delaware.

Bender is 6-2 on the season with one save. In his last 10 games, he is 4-0 with a 2.01 earned run average.
