News and notes from around Petaluma|

PAC’s ‘Idea Lounge’ has launched new season of Art vs. Life conversations: Every third Thursday, at 6:30 p.m., the Petaluma Arts Center holds a one-of-a-kind conversation called The Idea Lounge, in which a member of the community delivers a short talk about the Arts, and another presents a talk about Life. The popular series, which has been held at Della Lounge during the winter, returned to the Lagunitas Brewing Company last Thursday for the beginning of its Spring/Summer season. Kicking things off were Katie Sheppard, with “Confessions of a Museum Director” (Art) and Warren Dranit, speaking on “The Legal Right to Create: Intellectual Property vs. Free Speech.”

Here’s the line-up for the rest of the season.
