Petaluma celebrates Little League this weekend

The celebration is just beginning.

The official welcome home festivities for the Petaluma National Little Leaguers will be Sunday, when they parade through downtown Petaluma using the same route as the Butter and Egg Days Parade.

The parade will begin at 1 p.m.

Afterward, there will be a community celebration in Walnut Park, corner of Petaluma Boulevard and D Street.

At the park there will be a proclamation of appreciation for the team from the City of Petaluma and player introductions. Food, snacks and fun activities will be available.

That evening, a private dinner and party for players and families will be held at the fairgrounds.
