Armed man robs Petaluma store

Masked and armed, a man entered a Petaluma convenience store early Monday, pointed a gun at a clerk and demanded cash, according to Petaluma police.

The man then grabbed money from the opened cash register drawer and fled.

Police have released images of the robber from the store’s surveillance camera and are seeking help from the public in determining his identity.

The 1:23 a.m. robbery was at the 7-Eleven in the 400 block of Washington Street.

Several police officers responded to a 911 call and searched the area but the robber got away.
