The Petaluma Fire Department recorded 131 calls during the week of Nov. 28 through Dec. 4.
Friday, Dec. 2
3:07 a.m.: Petaluma firefighters and other agencies from the area responded to the scene of a garage that was in flames at 13 Arlington Drive. The garage was attached to a single-story house. The crew from the first engine on the scene set up to attack the fire, and lacking their own water supply, instructed another arriving engine to supply them with water. Crews entered the house for further fire control and cut holes in the roof to vent smoke. The house was vacant, firefighters said, and had no electricity service. The fire caused around $100,000 in damage to the house.
