Two people went to hospitals Tuesday morning following an east Petaluma crash, according to police.

The vehicles collided in the intersection of McDowell Boulevard and Professional Drive at 7:06 a.m. in a T-bone crash, Petaluma traffic Sgt. Jeremy Walsh said.

Two ambulances responded and one person was taken about one block to nearby Petaluma Valley Hospital and the other to Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa.

The crash temporarily blocked the intersection, causing minor traffic congestion until the vehicles could be towed, Walsh said.

Police traffic officers were investigating.
