Pee Wees trying hard, but can’t win

The Panther Jr. Pee Wees had a tough time against the Healdsburg Bulldogs at the Healdsburg Recreation Park, losing, 28-0.

The Panthers kicked off to the Bulldogs who ran it all the way to the end zone for a quick six points. The Bulldogs immediately ran it in again for an additional extra point.

Despite the efforts of Petaluma’s key defensive players Emmitt Peterson, Jaret Bosarge and Justin Charter, the Bulldogs could not be stopped. They continued to rack up the points and put the Panthers in scrimmage at half time.

During scrimmage, the Panthers managed to score two TDs. The first was by Robert Almond, with Jacob Prior running in the extra point. The second TD was by Marcus Scott, and Eli Capellen ran in the PAT.

Next Sunday, the Rohnert Park Warriors will host the Petaluma Panthers.

The Panther Pee Wees also lost to the Redwood PAL, 30-0.

The game started with PAL kicking off with an onside kick to the Panthers that was recovered by PAL. In the plays that followed, the Bears ran the ball in to score a touchdown. The Panthers held, and PAL was unable to score the extra point.

In the middle of the first quarter, PAL fought hard and ran the ball into the end zone for another six points. Once again, the Panthers were able to stop them and prevent a PAT. 

During the second quarter, PAL ran it for another TD, but the PAT was unsuccessful. This brought the score to 18-0.

The highlight of this quarter for the Panthers came when running back Jacob Prior ran the ball 25 yards. However, on the following play, the Panthers fumbled the ball and PAL recovered it, scoring an additional six points. The teams went into halftime with the scoreboard reading Pal 24, Panthers 0. 

The third quarter started with Petaluma kicking off to PAL. No matter how hard the Panthers tried, they could not stop the PAL Bears from scoring yet another TD which put the game into scrimmage.

The final score was 30-0.

In the fourth quarter, Petaluma finally made it to the end zone when Marcus Scott ran the ball in.

Some of the strong defensive players for the Panthers were Jaret Bosarge, Justin Charter, Joe Ellis, and Louie Alpert.

In other Panther games against PAL, the Mitey Mites lost, 28-0, the Jr. Pee Wees lost, 28-0, the Pee wees won, 12-6, the Jr. Midgets lost, 28-0 and the Midgets won, 16-2.
