Three seniors off St. Vincent’s young team were placed on the Bay Football League’s All-League first team.

The All-Bay League team was selected somewhat differently than is the normal practice. Each team was allocated a certain number of slots on the honored team based on where they finished in the five-team league standings, and players were nominated by their respective schools regardless of position. The same format was used for the second team.

Named from St. Vincent to the first team were quarterback Dominic Pedersen, wide receiver Nick Vollert and lineman Will Tarrant.

Pedersen carried the pass-happy Mustangs’ offense. He completed 149 out of 282 passes for 2,143 yards and 22 touchdowns. His 78.7 quarterback rating might have been much better had he not been under constant pressure from opposing pass rushes resulting in 17 interceptions. He was also the team’s rushing leader with 258 yards on 53 carries and four touchdowns.

Vollert was Pedersen’s prime target. Despite continual double teams, the senior caught 56 passes for 1,017 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Tarrant was injured early in the season, but was still one of the best two-way linemen in the area. An outstanding blocker on offense, he was even better on defense. In just six games, he made 35 tackles, including 16 solo, and often opened the way for Mustang linebackers to make stops by engaging two, and sometimes three, opposing linemen.

Named to the first team from league champion Stellar Preparatory School were Datoine Attaway, William Mailau, Tyjalon McCray, Daniel Stevens and Derek Tillis.

Also on the first team, were Demonte Aleem, Johnathon Keller, Jadan McDermott and James Pauli from Harker School; Tristan Boren aand Bandon Duran from California School for the Deaf and Cameron Roberts from Emery.

Earning second team honors from St. Vincent were Michael Davis, a junior wide receiver/linebacker/kick returner; Connor Carr, a senior two-way lineman and Nick Murphy, a junior tight end/linebacker.

Also on the second team were Anthony Bostic, Eric Cato, Marcus Phillips, William Vehikite and Deshaun Wilson from Stellar Prep; Jalen Clark, Saketh Gurram, Will Park and Trenton Thomas from Harker; Angel Lara and Esauu Zornoza from California School for the Deaf and Kevian Byrd from Emery.
