The St. Vincent boys basketball team split a pair of back-to-back games last week.

Playing at Rancho Cotate, the Mustangs came alive in the second half to beat the host Cougars, 48-35.

Rancho Cotate held a 22-12 halftime lead before the Mustangs rallied for 16 points in the third quarter, and clinched the win by holding the Cougars to two points in the fourth period.

Justin Fahy had a big game for St. Vincent with 18 points, while Mike Davis scored 11 and Tino Sirguso and Nick Murphy added 10 apiece.

Playing at home the next night, the Mustangs were beaten by Athenian, 62-36.

The Mustangs are 2-6 for the season.
