Petaluma fills are weights in dual meet win

The Petaluma High School wrestling team filled every weight class on its way to a 60-19 Sonoma County League dual meet win over Elsie Allen.

Petaluma received some impressive performances on its way to the team win with Mac Shattuck at 113 pounds, Connor Pedersen at 126 pounds, Jack Reynolds at 132 pounds, Colton Prieto at 145 pounds, Curtis Goughnour at 152 pounds, Dominic Ayers at 170 pounds and Eric Coats at 182 pounds all winning by pin.

Cindy Diaz at 106 pounds and heavyweight Brittney Sousa both accepted forfeit wins for the Trojans.

Gauchos beaten

Casa Grande’s Gauchos were no match for Windsor’s powerful Jaguars in a North Bay League dual match wrestled in Windsor.

Casa Grande had just one pin in the match, with Elliott Robinson pinning Joe McGuire in their 126-pound match.

Gaucho decisions were won by Jason Goldblatt at 120 pounds and Dominic Green at 138 pounds. Green had an exciting match against Windsor’s Brennan Brown, finally pulling out an 8-7 victory.
