Team Family wins Co-Rec Tournament

Team Family needs two games before winning the Parks and Recreation Department’s Co-Rec softball tournament.|

Team Family faltered a bit toward the end, but came back strong to win the City Co-Rec Softball Tournament last weekend.

Team Family swept through its first three games to enter the championship game undefeated, but lost to Caught Looking, coming back through the losers’ bracket, and had to play a second game before finishing a long Saturday of softball with a 10-5 victory for the championship.

To reach the championship round, Team Family beat Roman’s Plumbing, PCA and Caught Looking.

Meanwhile Caught Looking topped the Happy Campers and WOC before slipping into the losers’ bracket with the defeat at the hands of Team Family.

After the loss, Caught looking defeated PCA to get another chance at Team Family, and made the most of the opportunity only to lose in the championship game.

The Over 40 League Tournament will be held Sunday, with the C League and D league tournaments on Aug. 26 and Aug. 27,
