Here are some of the cases the Petaluma police responded to recently. The Argus-Courier publishes the names of people arrested for serious crimes such as those involving physical injury, property loss or damage of property, including burglary, battery, vandalism and drunken driving. People who are later found innocent or who have charges dropped may contact the Argus-Courier to have follow-up information published.

Monday, January 21

10:00 a.m. - A vehicle was reported stolen on Grey Street.

3:12 p.m. - Vandalism to a vehicle was reported on C Street after two cars in the Theatre District Parking Garage were broken into.

3:17 p.m. - A vehicle was reported stolen on Second Street.

Sunday, January 20

1:25 a.m. - Reyes Mendoza, 22, of Petaluma was arrested on Adobe Road at East Washington Street on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and felony evading police after leading officers on a high-speed chase.

9:38 a.m. - Felony burglary was reported on Howard Street.

11:59 p.m. - Debra L. Blocher, 54, of Petaluma was arrested on East Washington Street on suspicion of DUI.

Saturday, January 19

2:30 a.m. - Leopoldo G. Esparza, 54, of Vallejo was arrested on Creekside Drive at Maria Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI.

8:47 a.m. - Raul C. Velazquez, 28, of Hayward was arrested on Payran Street at East Washington Street on suspicion of felony carjacking, possession of a stolen vehicle, DUI with bodily injury, hit and run and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license and a bench warrant.

Friday, January 18

2:04 p.m. - Felony burglary was reported on Transport Way.

Wednesday, January 16

2:30 p.m. - Clifford W. Burgess, 57, of Petaluma was arrested on East Court on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence battery against a spouse.
