Peter Welker with special guests

Accomplished Petaluma jazz musician performs with Bill Champlin and Gloria Loring Aug. 15.|

Accomplished jazz musician and Petaluma resident Peter Welker will be performing with special guests Bill Champlin and Gloria Loring from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 at Graffiti restaurant, 101 Second St. Admission to the concert is free.

Musician Bill Champlin is known for his bands Sons of Champlin and Chicago. Gloria Loring is a singer, actress and mother of musician Robin Thicke.

The trio will also be performing at Sonoma-Cutrer Winery in Windsor on Aug. 16.

They will be accompanied by an eight-piece band, which includes musicians who have toured with Santana, Miles Davis, Supertramps, Boz Scaggs, Cold Blood, Dizzy Gillespie, Van Morrison and The Eagles. The concert begins at 5 p.m. The event is expected to sell out. For tickets, call 237-3489
