Casa chosen for Boras Baseball Classic

The Casa Grande High School baseball team has been invited to participate in the prestigious Boras Baseball Classic in 2017.

The Boras Classic, sponsored by the nonprofit Boras Foundation, serves as an unofficial tournament to determine a state championship high school baseball team. The tournament features two 16-team brackets, one from the north and one from the south. Bracket champions meet for the state championship.

Dates and locations for the 2017 tournament have not yet been determined, but the Northern Bracket teams have been announced and include, along with Casa Grande, Oak Ridge, Davis, St. Francis, Serra, Granite Bay, Tracy, Heritage, St. Mary’s, Maria Carrillo, Turlock, Stockdale, Vintage, Bellarmine, Acalanes and Palma.
