Casa soccer girls shut out Petaluma

The Casa Grande girls soccer team got its season off to an impressive start with a 3-0 win over rival Petaluma.|

Their first step into winter soccer was an impressive one for the Casa Grande soccer girls as the Lady Gauchos defeated rival Petaluma, 3-0, Tuesday night on the Casa Grande field.

The win was an impressive one for the Lady Gauchos, who built up a 3-0 halftime lead.

Mia Santander led the victory with two goals, with Sara Romstead also scoring. Jacelyn Garcia provided an assist. The Casa defense played well in front of goalie Rebecca Lewis, who recorded the shutout.
