Midgets romp over Mustangs
This past Saturday, The Panther Jr. Midgets stopped the San Marin Mustangs, 34-26.
Quarterback Jadon Bosarge threw a 15-yard pass to wide receiver Roy Morgan, who ran into the end zone. David Marchant kicked it through the poles putting the Panthers on the scoreboard, 8-0.
Bosarge ran 45 yards to set up running back Victor Medina’s 1-yard plunge for Petaluma’s second touchdown.
Bosarge picked up and ran a fumble 14 yards into the end zone to put the Panthers up, 20-6.
A pass to running back Dominic McHale took the Panthers 15 yards to the Mustang 10-yard line. McHale caught a pass and dove for the end zone, hitting the pylon with the ball to add another TD to make the score, 26-6.
The Mustangs then kicked off to the 15-yard line to start the second half. McHale snagged the kick and ran it back to the San Marin 40-yard line. On the following play, Bosarge ran the remaining 60 yards for a touchdown. Marchant’s PAT put the game into a scrimmage.
Strong defensive plays were made by Zac Register, Martin Cotter and Kevin Ortiz.
