SPRING SPORTS: Petaluma’s golf team continues to roll in Sonoma County League play

Petaluma’s Trojan golf team wins its fourth straight SCL match.|

Petaluma’s well-balanced Trojans won their fourth straight Sonoma County League match, dispatching El Molino, 219-257 at Rooster Run.

Whitaker Ellis and Cole Powers matched 41s to share medalist honors. They were closely followed by Enzo Scaccalosi (44), Shannon Stoll (46) and Charlie Winter (47).

Ryan Pamatmat was the only Lion to break 50, shooting a 44.

Tennis

St. Vincent swept the singles matches to defeat Sonoma Tech, 3-2, in a match played at Luchessi Park.

Grace Hosbein, Lauren Seale and Jonathan Carlson all won singles matches for the Mustangs without losing a set. The St. Vincent doubles teams of Shelby Murphy and Adeline Flanagan and Margaret Coll and Eliza Stirrat were both beaten.

Petaluma remained undefeated in Sonoma County League play, defeating Analy, 5-2.

Petaluma built its win on three singles victories, with Nathan Won, Zach Leno and Hayden Dennis all winning in straight sets.

Alex Dodd teamed with Khalil Tams and Jake Symons joined Logan Reuter to win doubles matches for the Trojans, 5-1 on the season.
